2. Are these tours customizable?

Yes. We offer the service of tailor-making personal tour itinerary. You can either work with your 1-on-1 travel consultant to put together an itinerary that fits your specific needs.

4. The best time to visit the Silk Road

According to the real experience of our local tour guides, May and October are the best time to travel along the Silk Road, because the summer can be too hot, and the winter is freezing.

5. Transportation on the Silk Road

Nowadays, it is convenient to transfer between the main cities on the Silk Road by air, train or bus. Whereby, by air is the most convenient and comfortable way. There are airports in Xian, Lanzhou, Dunhuang, Urumqi and Kashgar. Moreover, the most popular tourist attractions are located along Xian-Lanzhou Railway and Lanzhou-Xinjang Railway. On these two railways, the China's third train speed-up project has been put into effect.

6. Tips for staying safe

China is one of the safest countries to travel, but you should still keep travel wisely and your valuables safe all the time.
1) In your hotels, leave your valuables in the safe box.
2) Be very careful in the crowed, especially in Xinjiang's bazaars, bus and train stations.
3) Keep your money in a money pocket inside your clothing when you are on the road.
4) Check your notes to the keeper's face when you pay for accommodation in a smaller restaurants or shops.
