Since Jan.1,2013, Beijing has carried out the Visa-free Transit policy for the transit passengers holding a third-country visa from 51 countries including United States, Canada, Australia, all members of the EU, Singapore, New Zealand and more to spend up to 72 hours in Beijing without a Chinese visa.
This policy is aimed to boost the Beijing tourism and provides the convenience for the business travelers and transiting passengers. Below are our specially designed visa-free trip itineraries and services ranging from one half to three days. All are customizable and can be tailored to your needs, schedule, interests and budget.

For air passengers who are interested to visit visa-free cities during 72 hours, they can apply for visa-free in the airports when arriving. The airports has taken various measures to ensure quick transit registration procedures, designating more staff to provide transit passengers with the necessary instructions, and and installing signs to guide the flow of transit passengers.
The policy only implement to transit via airports in Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Guilin, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Shenyang, Dalian, and passengers should handle procedures in airports. And finally, they can only depart from the airports in these visa-free cities. That means, travelers come to China by train or any other vehicles should still apply for a transit visa in advance.
Travelers are only allowed to travel within visa-free cities, and not allowed to other China cities during the 72-hour visa-free period. The policy does not apply to passengers with a single return flight ( e.g. Shanghai - Beijing - Shanghai, Hong Kong - Beijing - Hong Kong ).
