Although Lijiang is situated at the high-latitude mountain plateau, it has abundant rainfalls and plenty of sunshine. It has an average temperature around 12.6 °C with the hottest average temperature of 19.5°C and the coldest average temperature of 8.3 °C. The rainy season is from May to October, with the heaviest rainfall periods happening during July and August.

Spring in Lijiang is from March to May with temperature varying from 6°C to 20 °C. It is warm and have plenty of sunny day. You’d better wear long dress and trousers with sweater prepared.
Summer in Lijiang is from June to August. The morning and evening will be a little cold while the daytime will be hot. July and August is the rainy season with plenty of rainfalls. So remember to take umbrella with you.
Autumn in Lijiang is from September to November with many rainy days and the temperature is moderate just like in spring. Umbrella should be taken.
