Shenyang and Dalian, capital and port city of northeast China's Liaoning Province, respectively, carry out 72-hur visa-free stays policy for foreigners starting on Jan. 1, 2014.
When enjoying the policy, travelers should hold a valid passport, third country visas and plane tickets leaving for the third country or region within 72 hours, according to the public security bureaus of both cities.
From Jan. 1th, 2014, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Chongqing, Shenyang and Dalian will permit foreign travelers from 51 countries to stay in city without China Visa. However the travelers must enter and exit at the Shenyang Taoxian International Airport or Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport.
The 51 countries include: * Schengen countries in Europe: Austria, Belgium, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland * Other European countries: Russia, Britain, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, * Oceania countries – Australia, New Zealand * American countries – United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile * Asian countries – South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar
If they are faced with unexpected circumstances or special events causing them to stay in the two cities for over 72 hours, travelers should also apply for a Chinese Visa.
