Latest China 144-hour Visa-free Transit Policy

Approved by the State Council of China, 144-hour Visa-free Transit is implemented by Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Liaoning and Guangdong. Please view more details as below:

1.Shanghai, Jiangsu Province and Zhejiang Province
From Jan. 30, 2016, international travelers (for 51 countries) who hold valid international travel documents and fixed-date connected passenger tickets to the third countries (Regions) are allowed to transit for 144 hours at all ports in Shanghai, Nanjing Airport in Jiangsu Province and Hangzhou Airport in Zhejiang Province. The list of 51 countries is apllied to 72-hour transit visa-free policy.

2. Guangdong Province
From Aug. 1, 2016, international travelers (for 51 countries) who hold valid international travel documents and fixed-date connected passenger tickets to the third countries (Regions) are allowed to transit for 144 hours at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. Shenzhen Baoan Airport, Jieyang Chaoshan Airport. The list of 51 countries is apllied to 72-hour transit visa-free policy.

3. Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province
From Dec. 28, 2017, international travelers (for 51 countries) who hold valid international travel documents and fixed-date connected passenger tickets to the third countries (Regions) are allowed to transit for 144 hours at the ports ofTianjin Binhai International Airport, Tianjin International Cruise Port, Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing Railway West Railway Station, Shijiazhuang International Airport and Qinhuangdao Port in Hebei Province. The list of 51 countries is apllied to 72-hour transit visa-free policy.

4. Liaoning Province
From Jan.2, 2018, international travelers (for 51 countries) who hold valid international travel documents and fixed-date connected passenger tickets to the third countries (Regions) are allowed to transit for 144 hours at Shenyang Taoxian International Airport and Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport. The list of 53 countries is apllied to 72-hour transit visa-free policy.

According to the 72-hour Visa-free Transit Policy, tourists from 51 countries with valid visa and air ticket to the third country or region (Hong Kong) can go through the formalities at certain counter in the airport. The tourist can stay Tianjin for less than 72 hour without China visa (the time starts to calculate from 0:00 next day).

51 Countries:
(1) 24 European countries with Schengen Visa: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland;
(2) 7 Other European countries: Russia, England, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbi, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania;
(3) 6 American countries: the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile;
(4) 2 Oceania countries: Australia, New Zealand;
(5) 6 Asian countries: South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar.

Requirements:
(1) Holding valid international travel documents that can prove their nationality and identity;
(2) Qualified for the entry requirements of their destination country;
(3) Holding valid air tickets or arrangements with specific dates and seat numbers which prove they will make transit via Tianjin Binhai International Airport to the third country or region within 72 hours;
(4) Being reported to China’s exit-entry frontier inspection authorities by their airline companies.
