Mutianyu, one famous section of the Great Wall in China, has a designated area for graffiti writing of tourists in order to better protect it, according to a statement from the district's publicity department on Sunday.

Mutianyu, one of the best-preserved parts of Great Wall in Beijing, China, is a major national cultural heritage site. For years, the problem that tourist from home and abroad get used to carve their names on the Wall remained.

To solve it, the administration office of Mutianyu have set a designated zone for tourists graffiti writing in the No. 14 Fighting Tower Building. And we plan to set up other two zones No.5 and No.10 fighting towers for tourists to carve or write their words in the future.

We believe that all these safeguard procedures will better protect the ancient wall of Mutianyu in the long run.
