1.How about the person of Beijing Holiday whom you contact. Is he or she fast enough to answer your E-mail and patient enough to answer your questions?

Trudy was our main contact with Beijing Holiday. Trudy was absolutely amazing. She was patient, kind, and attentive. She answered our questions quickly and appropriately. She did a great job booking our tours. My friend and I wanted to tour Lhasa, but the timing to get the Tibet Permit was difficult. Trudy and her manager spent an entire business day working on our itinerary so we could fit Lhasa into the schedule, changing our flights (they called the airlines personally), buying our train tickets, and going over important travel information with us. Trudy was up for the challenge that our particular needs required. I am forever grateful to Trudy for making our trip to Lhasa possible.

2.How about your tour guide in China?

Tour guide in Beijing: Yoyo and Happy: Both tour guides were very cheerful, knowledgeable about Beijing and China in general, and did a great job managing the group throughout the day. We were picked up from our hotel and then dropped off there after the tours. This was very helpful.

Tour guide in Tibet: I forgot their names. One was a man and another was a woman. They both knew Tibet well and did a good job giving us tours around all the different temples. I was very pleased to be able to see the Monks debate in the debate courtyard at one of the temples. Thank you for that opportunity that I would not have known was possible otherwise. One difficult part was being dropped off in the center of a market and not back at our hostel. Even when given brief, verbal instructions on how to get back to our hostel, we still had a difficult time getting back.

3.How about your tour arrangements?

The tour arrangements were great. We were picked up from our hotel, driven to all the different tourist sites, and usually dropped off again at our hotel at the end of the day. The things we did each day were exactly what we wanted to do in each city. We even got to do or see a few other things that we would not have been able to do on our own. For example, we went to a health clinic and listened to a physician talk about the differences between Western and Chinese medicine. We also were able to go to a pearl factory and eat in a local Chinese house.

4.Are you willing to recommend our service to those who would like to come to China?

Yes, I would recommend your services to those who want to go to China.

5.What will be your suggestions regarding how to improve our services?

I would make sure all tour guides are able to drop the guests off at their hotels at the end of the day instead of in the center of town or at a tour site.

6.Can we use your comments of our service, the photos or other images that you took on the tour for our websites, brochures, marketing and publicity? If yes, could you please send us some of your photos by E-mail?

Yes, you can use my comments and photos publicly.

7.We sometimes have requests from potential customers or journalists who would like to speak with a prior customer.

May we use you for a reference: Yes, you can use me for a reference.

If yes, your name: Sarah Wright

Mrs.Amrita (India) asked:

My husband and myself are travelling by Air China from Mumbai to Honolulu via Beijing on Dec 28. We have a 14 hour transit (arrive at 10:50am on Dec 28 and depart at 01.50am on Dec 29). On our way back on Jan 9 from Honolulu, we again have a 14 hour transit in Beijing where we arrive at 05.20am on Jan 9 and our connecting flight is at 19:40pm on Jan 9. Due to our long transit time, we were interested to do some sightseeing in Beijing. A few questions pertaining to the above: 1. Is the free visa applicable during our journey both ways and what is the procedure? 2. Can you give us tentative one day sight seeing options with prices that include pick up and drop to Airport. We would like to cover as much as possible from: Badaling Great Wall, Tiananmen square, Forbidden square, Summer palace, Temple of Heaven, Hutong tour, see a kung fu show, have local lunches and cover some shopping places!! 3. What is the mode of payment?

Oct.19,2015 16:18

Carrie replied:

Dear Mrs.Amrita,

Thank you very much for letting me your travel plan.

Yes, it is applicable for a visa free trip during your layover. I've sent you an email with the detailed procedure and estimated itinerary with tour price. Please check the details at your convenience.

Best Regards,
Carrie,

Emma (UK) asked:

Hi, I will transit at the Beijing airport and stay there from 3pm to 1am. I am interested a tour of the Badaling Great Wall and Forbidden City. Can I have a half day tour to visit these two places? How much would this cost? Is it ok to do this as a solo traveller? Thank you.

Oct.17,2015 19:06

Carrie replied:

Dear Emma,

I'm afraid that you could be able to visit only one place, either Badaling Great Wall or the Forbidden City, as the tourist sites usually are closed at 18:00 during the peak season and at 17:00 during the off season. There is no problem to travel as a solo traveler. I will email you the details later today. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,
Carrie,
