“10 Days in Tibet - Overland from Nepal to Tibet”
We, 5 of us, had a tour of a lifetime in Tibet in June, 2014. We did an overland tour from Nepal - EBC - Shigatse -Gyantse -Lhasa with Beijing Holiday tours. We had engaged with Sophia 3 months ahead before our tour and she has responded to all our requests in a timely manner. One of the highlights of the tour is out tour guide - Jampa. She is the BEST guide that we ever had. She is VERY passionate and knowledgeable on Tibetan Buddhism, the local culture and also the history of the country. We are overwhelmed and truly attracted to Tibet because of Jampa . We definitely would like to be back again to visit different areas in Tibet and we will go for Jampa . We learned a lot from her and we really appreciated it. Aside that, we also has a good driver too - he is skillful on the road. We thanked both of them for "saving" us when we had some high altitude challenges at EBC.
Beijing Holiday tours is one of the best choice that anyone should consider engaging in Tibet.
Last but not least, we would like to say thank you for Sophia, Jampa and our sifu driver for taking care of us during the trip.

My husband and myself are travelling by Air China from Mumbai to Honolulu via Beijing on Dec 28. We have a 14 hour transit (arrive at 10:50am on Dec 28 and depart at 01.50am on Dec 29). On our way back on Jan 9 from Honolulu, we again have a 14 hour transit in Beijing where we arrive at 05.20am on Jan 9 and our connecting flight is at 19:40pm on Jan 9. Is the free visa applicable during our journey both ways and what is the procedure? 2. Can you give us tentative one day sight seeing options with prices that include pick up and drop to Airport. We would like to cover as much as possible from: Badaling Great Wall, Tiananmen square, Forbidden square, Summer palace, Temple of Heaven, Hutong tour, see a kung fu show, have local lunches and cover some shopping places!! 3. What is the mode of payment?

I'm afraid that you could be able to visit only one place, either Badaling Great Wall or the Forbidden City, as the tourist sites usually are closed at 18:00 during the peak season and at 17:00 during the off season. There is no problem to travel as a solo traveler. I will email you the details later today. Thank you very much.
