- The holy Shaolin temple of the Buddhism was established about 1600 years ago on the mountain of Song. We will take you to the cradle of Chinese Shaolin Kung fu - the Shaolin Temple to explore the evolution of Shoalin Kung fu and the great impact on people's lives both in ancient times and the present day. Along with the Mogao Caves and Yungang Grottoes, the Longmen Grottoes are one of the three most famous ancient sculptural sites in China.
Sample Itinerary Overview
Day 1 Beijing – Luoyang by Overnight Train
You’ll be picked up at your hotel or preferred location of Beijing and transferred to the Beijing West Train Station. Our tour guide will assist you for the soft sleeper of K269 ( soft sleeper cabin) , it leaves Beijing for Luoyang around 9:40pm.

Day 2 Luoyang Day Tour ( B, L )
Today, you’ll arrive at Luoyang around 7:50am. Our local tour guide and driver will transfer you to check in, and after breakfast in the hotel, you’ll head to visit the Longmen Grottoes, some 12 kilometers from ancient Luoyang city, about 30 minutes’ drive. It is one of the three most important Buddhist sculptures and carvings in China. After lunch move on to Luoyang Museum. Luoyang served as the capitals for a long period of time, so history has left the place a large number of historical rare relics, and many of these rarely seen items can be found here.
Stay overnight in Luoyang.
Day 3 Luoyang – Shaolin Temple – Luoyang (B, L)
Today
you’ll go to visit the White
Horse Temple, the first Buddhist Temple ever built in China.
Then experience the Songshan Mountain’s famous Shaolin Temple – the cradle of Shaolin Kung Fu and the No.1
Buddhist temple in China.
After the tour, transferred back to Luoyang Train Station and leaves Luoyang for Beijing around 8:20pm.
Overnight on the train. (Soft sleeper, 4 people in one cabin)
Day 4 Luoyang-Beijing
You’ll arrive in Beijing at around 6:00am and be transferred to your hotel or preferred location in Beijing.
