About:Chengdu

Hi, we are planning to take a trip to Tibet in May 2015, and thinking of take the train to Lhasa from Chengdu. Can you recommend us a Chengdu side trip for about 3 days? We have been to Chengdu in 2009 and already visited the city and the Panda.

Hi Robyn, Jiuzhaigou valley is strongly recommended if you have three days to stay. Jiuzhaigou valley is well known for its colorful water and multi-level waterfalls and was listed as World Cultural Heritage in 1992. It is located in Jiuzhaigou County of the Aba Tibetan Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, 436km north of Chengdu. It takes about 6~8 hours to get to the valley, and spend the second whole day in the site, and get back to Chengdu on the third day.
