What is the best time to visit Chengde, and 2 days are enough to see its best?

Hi Ray, summer (May-October) is the best time for a Chengde tour. With a pleasant climate, it is the ideal place to relax and avoid the summer heat. The famous tourist site is the Mountain Resort of Chengde, the largest royal garden in China and the emperors' 'holiday villa' in the ancient times. 2-day is enough: first day - take a train to Chengde from Beijing, check in the hotel, have lunch in the local restaurants, the rest of the day to visit the Mountain Resort of Chengde; second day - visit the Puning Temple and Putuozongcheng Temple in the morning, and after lunch take the return train back to Beijing.
