About:Xian

We, family of 5, will be traveling Shanghai in October 2015 and we also would like to hike the Great Wall in Beijing. What is the quickest, easiest and not very expensive way to travel from Shanghai to Beijing and back?

Hi Jill, both of trains and flights are all the best method. Depends on your view and preference. The high speed trains between these two cities are every 15 minutes or so and usually take less than 5 hours. The flights are 2 hours, but rarely on time, so the total travel time is very similar. You'd better to book the tickets in advance, as the October is a very busy traveling time in China.
