About:Beijing
Hi, we will visit Beijing in June, and we are going to see the Forbidden City on the next day. The breakfast is not available in our hotel, the recommendations for good Chinese breakfast near the Forbidden City will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi James, the opening time of the Forbidden City is at 8:30 during April to November, so you'd better to finish your breakfast at 8:00am so as to avoid the long queue. Most of the Chinese local featured restaurants still don't open yet, so you can only buy some quick breakfast (steamed stuffed bun, soybean milk, steamed bun, congee)from the peddler around the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.
If you can get up very early, you can take the No.5 bus at the Tiananmen station and get off at the Dianmen station, about 20 minutes. Then standing on the crossroads, you will see a Hu Guo Si restaurant (护国寺小吃店) where you can have all of the Beijing local featured snacks.
