About:China Train
I am having a trip to Guilin in March and I have to get to Hong Kong after my Guilin visit. Is there the direct train from Guilin to Hong Kong? How long it will take?

Hi Ibrahimi, there is no direct train from Guilin to Hong Kong, and you need to transfer in Shenzhen. The high-speed train from Guilin to Shenzhen has been operation since 10th December 2014, and it takes only 3 or 4 hours, departing at 11:15, 17:20 and 18:45 daily. There is also one regular train K950 departing at 21:15 and arrving at 10:10 of the next day. If you take the K950, the train arrives at the Shenzhen railway station, you can simply walk over the boarder crossing at Luohu near Shenzhen train station and take the bus. If you take the high-speed trains, they arrive at the Shenzhen North Railway Station, you need to take the metro heading to the following ports and choose one to take the bus: Luohu Port, Futian Port, Huanggang Port, Shenzhen Wan Port, Wenjin Du Port and Jiantou Jiao Port.
BTW, the high-speed trains are easily sold out, so you'd better book the tickets at least one week in advance.
