For the weather in February: it is warmer than January, but it is still the winter season. The temperature remains below the freezing point in the morning and at night. It hardly rains or snows, but there is still the possibility so you'd better to bring the down jacket, hat and gloves.

FYI: We had just have the Chinese New Year Festival (Feb 8-12,2015) in the middle of February, and you have to consider the traffic issue. So if you are still planning to visit other destinations of China, like Shanghai, Xian, Guilin, Chengdu, etc, you'd better to book the trains or flights as soon as possible now. Train tickets can be purchased 60 days (from Dec.7 2014) in advance for the Spring Festival travel rush season (from Feb 4 to March 15,2015)
