About:Great Wall

Hi there, I've decided to trek Jiankou section of the Great Wall because I've learnt that it is less touristy than the other parts. Is it possible to visit Jiankou in one day?

Hi Chris, yes, a day trip to Jiankou is definitely possible. It is the greatest and most photogenic section of the Great Wall around Beijing, and the most classic route itinerary is hike from the unrestored Jiankou Great Wall to the restored Mutianyu Great Wall. The hike usually takes about 4-5 hours for 8km trekking.
