Yesterday, Tianjin Binhai International Airport ushered in the first passenger who enjoys the 72-hour visa-free transit, carried out on June 8. Tianjin becomes the 14th city to launch 72-hour Visa-free Transit Policy, following after Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xian, Kunming, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shenyang, Dalian, Guilin, Hangzhou, Wuhan and Xiamen.
From Oct. 20, 2014, Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province, will start to offer 72-hour Visa-free entry for international transit passengers as a move to boost tourism and commercial activities and international cultural exchanges. Hangzhou will be the 10th city starting this policy, following Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Kunming, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shenyang, Dalian and Guilin.
Shenyang and Dalian, capital and port city of northeast China's Liaoning Province, respectively, carry out 72-hur visa-free stays policy for foreigners starting on Jan. 1, 2014.
Chongqing began offering 72-hour Visa-free Transit stays for citizens of 45 countries from Dec. 2013 and became the 5th city visa-free city in China, following Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu.
From Sep. 1, 2013, Chengdu became the 4th 72-hour Visa-Free Transit City in China. Then travelers will get more benefits in China.
Guangzhou will allow passengers 72-hour stays in Guangzhou without China Visa from August, the third Chinese city to carry out this visa-free policy.
Shanghai will allow transit passengers from 45 countries to stay in the city for 72 hours without a China Visa, following a similar policy announced by Beijing.
