Sample Itinerary Overview
Day 1 Beijing Arrival
Welcome to Beijing! Our tour guide will be waiting for you in the airport, and they will escort you to your hotel. Free for the rest of the day.
Day 2 Beijing ( B, L )
Today's tour starts from visiting the world's largest city plaza – the 'Tiananmen Square'. Then walk to the marvelous 'Egg', the National Center for the Performing Arts. You can take some pictures from its outsides. Later, we head towards to the most famous Imperial Palace, the Forbidden City.
After lunch and a little bit rest, you'll head to the Temple of Heaven, one of China's most photographed attractions, where the Chinese Emperors were known, worshipped the gods and prayed for good harvests.
After visiting the Temple of Heaven, you will be driven to Beijing Liyuan Theatre to watch the Peking Opera Show.
Day 3 Beijing ( B, L, D )
Chairman Mao said: 'He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man'. So after breakfast, head to the Badaling Great Wall, the most visited one among all the Great Wall sections, famous for its magnificence.
Then having lunch at local restaurant. After lunch and a little bit rest, we return from the Badaling Great Wall and move on to the Changling Tomb of the Ming Tombs and its Sacred Way. On the way back to your hotel, you might make a stop at the Beijing Olympic Village to take some photos of the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube from the outside.
Tonight, you'll enjoy the most delicious Peking Roast Duck dinner, one of the most famous dishes in Beijing. After dinner, be transferred to your hotel.
Day 4 Flight to Chongqing from Beijing ( B, L )
Today will be free for you to explore Beijing on your own. Later in the day, you'll be escorted to the airport and take flight to Chongqing.
After arriving in Chongqing city, be met and transferred to the Chongqing downtown. Your tour guide and driver will take you to visit the Ciqikou Old Town..
Then, you'll be transferred to the Cruise pier, and board the ship from 17:00 to 20:00. Your lifetime Yangtze River Cruise starts in Chongqing at around 22:00. (note: the departing time changes based on the cruise ships, season, water level, weather, etc.)
Day 5 Yangtze River Cruise ( B, L, D )
Shore excursion to the Fengdu Ghost City to check why it has been regarded as the "City of Ghosts".
Day 6 Yangtze River Cruise ( B, L, D )
Shore excursion to Lesser Three Gorges by smaller vessels.
The Lesser Three Gorges, like a shinning pearl hiddden in remote mountains, are much smaller, narrower and have some dramatic scenery to offer. That is the most splendid river adventure throughout China for you.
Note: Some cruise ships make the shore excursion to the Shennong Stream. You have the final say on which excursion to make, as we can book any of the cruise ships at great rates!
Day 7 Yangtze River Cruise and Flight to Beijing from Yichang ( B, L )
Today's highlight is your morning excursion to the under constructed Three Gorges Dam. After lunch at a local famous restaurant, drive to the Yichang airport and take a flight back to Beijing.
Arrival in Beijing, transferred to the hotel, and the rest of the day is free.
Day 8 Beijing Departure ( B )
After breakfast, your tour guide and driver will escort you to the airport, and you'll go home or to your next destination.
