7 Days Beijing Shanghai and Hangzhou Essence Tour

Today you will first visit the world's biggest city plaza, the Tiananmen Square; then walk to the marvelous "Egg" (National Centre for the Performing Arts) to take some pictures from its outside; subsequently, go to the Forbidden City, the most complete imperial palace in China; and later proceed to the impressive Temple of Heaven. After the sightseeing tour driven back to your hotel.

After breakfast, drive to the Badaling Great Wall (about 80 km, 1.5hours) where you will experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. For lunch you'll sample some delicious fare in a local restaurant. Afterwards, visit the Sacred Way and Changling, one of the Ming Tombs; on the way back to your hotel, you might make a stop at the Beijing Olympic Village to take some photos of the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube from the outside; Feel a little bit tired? Not to worry! We will arrange a foot massage (free of charge) for you, just relax and enjoy it!  With a Peking Roast Duck dinner you will complete today's tour!

After breakfast, you’ll marvel at the exquisite Summer Palace, the imperial garden. Your Beijing tour ends. After lunch, take a flight to Shanghai from Beijing. On your arrival at Shanghai airport, your tour guide will meet you and bring you to your hotel in Shanghai. Rest of the day is free for you to explore the metropolis. 

Today, you will see the past, present and future of Shanghai. First, you will have a leisure time at Yuyuan Garden – a traditional Chinese garden. Its exquisite pavilions, unique stones, corridors, and rockeries must attract you a lot. It is just like an old town in Shanghai. You may also buy some little handicrafts and souvenirs at Yuyuan Bazaar.

Then, you will be driven to the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall; it will show you a fascinating insight of Shanghai's future. In the afternoon, you will visit the Jinmao Tower. Standing on the top of the tower, you will get a bird eye view of Shanghai city. Tianzifang is an art district full of exotic atmosphere in Shanghai. Here the ancient architectures of old Shanghai – Shikumen must give you an unforgettable memory. Drinking a cup of coffee against the setting sun is terrific! You will also get a glimpse at Shanghai Pudong New District to see the great change taken place at Shanghai. At night, you will go to Xintiandi to experience the fashion atmosphere of the bars by yourself.

Today will drive to Hangzhou, capital city of Zhejiang Province, taking about 40 minutes. First will visit the Ling Yin Temple, one of the most famous Buddhist Temples in China. Then visit the West Lake. Held in the embrace of hilly peaks on three sides, West Lake is a water wonderland for centuries and was once a favorite imperial retreat.

Strolling around the famous West Lake, can you smell the sweet fragrance of tea from the mountains behind? It is the Longjing Tea, world famous for its "four wonders". After lunch, you are arranged to visit the Longjing Village, which is one of the main production areas of Chinese longjing tea. 

Then be driven to your hotel in Shanghai.

Depending on your departure flight schedule, you may pay a visit to the People's Square and the Shanghai Museum then the tour guide would escort you to the airport for the flight to your next destination.
